Hey guys I've been getting squeeks mostly when I'm braking but not all the time.

Is it the brake pads that I have to replace or the calipers?

 

Sounds like the pads are going bad. If your pads are bad, then you rotors might be as well. Get all 4 checked and see.

 

How many miles on the pads? There are two brake pads per wheel, one on each side of the rotor. The inside brake pads (the OE ones and most replacement pads anyway) have a metal tab that contacts the rotor and squeaks or squeals when the pad is worn to certain level. This is a warning that the pads are due for replacement. If you're on older pads, this may be the noise you hear.

 

I don't think the brakes have ever been replaced. I bought the car with 87,000km and I now have 108,000km. Either way I'm going to go to the mechanics tomorrow and see what's going on. I think its just the brake pads like you said.
