Question Squeeking when turning

Hi,
My 05 TSX now has a squeek while turning. It is actually very loud, sounds like metal on metal. Problem is, it seems to go away?

Also seems to happen more when it is snowing or very cold.

Sounds like a an issue, had it towed to a shop (was worried something was broke), then it didnt make the noise.

Drove the car about 40 min the next day and came back, very loud. Worried about driving it again.

Anyone have this issue, or have ideas of what it may be?

I just had new tires, an alignment and ball joint replaced about 4 weeks ago. Hopeing its not Rack and Pinion.

Thanks for the help.

try checking the metal dust shield behind the rotor, may be rubbing on the rotor.

Possibly a bad rack - I had same symptoms on my '08 and rack was replaced.

My steering squeaked, when stationary or at very slow speed. Especially noticeable when first starting out. Dealer lubricated the steering shaft today and I've not noticed the sound. Will see what a few days produces.

thats how mine started but it was bottom ball joint, and what a job to get done, the cv joint would not come out of the hub had to send the whole lot to a 60ton presser which got it out but they damaged the threads on the joint, so of to machine shop to regrove fix up the thread to take the nut again, back to garage to put it all back on car, and the presser had bent one of the lugs that bolts up the caliper of the brakes, back to the ENGINEIER and the presser had to heat up the metal and bend it back, car has been up on the ramp 4 days id have been better of and cheaper to replace the cv joint and hub new from honda.still 250k its first time car has been of the road.
