something loose in driver door panel when window down?

Hello all,

I have a weird issue when my driver side window is rolled down a little bit or halfway. There's a strange noise, almost creaky sticky noise, almost if my window was hitting something. It's highly annoying since I hear it every time I roll down my window. I haven't had a chance to pull any apart yet but wanted some ideas first of maybe what to look for.

Has anyone else had this issue? or know how to remedy?

I noticed the exact same thing with mine, I normally drive with the driver side window down an inch or two. I can hear a ticking type noise sometimes when I go over uneven road surfaces. No noise with window up.
I used gummi pfledge to totally lubricate all the window seals. Making sure to clean them first inside and out, use the edge of a cloth to get into the areas that the glass travels into. This fixed the issue for about 2 weeks, no its back. I believe it is related to the seals.
Let me know how you get on.

I'm in the processing of getting some tools and getting into the panel within the next couple of weeks. I'll let you know.

I think I found the cause of the issue without opening it.

So when I roll my window down, I get the noise/rattle/creaking.

I found that there is some play with my window, a gap where I can push it down after I roll it down about 1-1 and half inches. When I do this, the noise/rattle stop when I have my window down.

Is this normal or is there a way to remedy this?

I have also noticed that I can use my hands to lift the glass up or down by an inch or two when they are down.

I have the same problem. I don't like to ride with the window down because of it. I'll try pushing down the half opened window and see if that helps
