some times its hard shifting out of first
some times its hard shifting out of first
car: 06 6-speed 19,500 miles.
over the past 3-4 weeks I've noticed that at certain times it's difficult to shift out of 1st gear. it almost feels like the shifter is stuck. so I have to apply more pressure to get it to come out of 1st gear.
the main problem with this is that sometimes I have to use so much force that I almost slam it into second gear. every once in awhile I'll have a similar issue going from 2nd to 3rd.
I'm going to try to get to the dealership next week sometime, but I have this feeling that they're going to say I'm shifting wrong.
has anyone else had a similar problem?

I notice this too, but only in the first two or so minutes of driving. It seems to do that when the transmission has not warmed up yet. Have you noticed that, or is it every time, regardless of how warmed-up your car is?

My good friend is a acura service manager. He advised me to get the Mt transmission oil changed every three years. He knows the kind of driving I do. My 06, bought new 11/17/06, is almost at 36,000 miles now.
