Soaked carpet
Soaked carpet
Hey all,
Hope you all well as I didn't visit the site for a while.
I just took my 05 TSX for a wash today. After the high pressure wash, I found out there is some water on the winter mattress which is located at the back seat behind the pressanger site. I kindda wonder as there were no one site at the back site for the whole week. I check more details, then realize the edge of the carpet lining underneath attached to the side wall under the branch seat is soaked wet but the middle part of the rest of the lining are dried. Have anyone of you experienced any water leak in the above mentioned area?
Thanks all in advance for any comments!

Your door seal may be going bad, depending on how "high pressured" the water really was. I would get the wet/dry vac out ASAP and try that water out. When it rains the next time, keep an eye on it and it it gets wet again, you'll know you have a seal that has failed.
Also check in your trunk for any water. There is a slim chance it is coming from there but given the age of the car, it is unlikely.

Thanks guys!
I had checked the trunk but glad that no trace of watwr. I purposely took my car for.a 2nd wash and I saw water leaked through the bottom of the door throguh the seal to the floor. I don't know whether it is caused by the cold weather causing the rubber harden? Or it is the faulty seal. The temp was like -10C in Toronto yesterday.
