I have two small rock chips on the front of my hood...one is clean to the metal but the other seems to have some rust forming on it...a slight orange tint...

i picked up a bottle of touchup paint when i took my car in for the 10k mile service last week...

any suggestions on repairing them? what is the best method to get the little bit of rust which has formed off of it...
