My car was still under warranty and they told me it wasn't covered...they told me it was caused by the products I use to clean my dash and the sun..like u said they should do right...

I can remember 2 threads where this happened to someone. I think I was the very first person that it happened to. It was replaced under warranty. They had to replace the entire dash and the dash vents they broke in the process. I had a loaner for 3.5 weeks while the dealer waited for parts and had to figure out how to replace the dashboard.

The crack started appearing after I used Armor All on it. I now only use that aerospace 303 (?) stuff on my dash, but I can kind of see the outline on my dash again.

It sucks that they won't warranty it. Maybe try another dealer? I agree it was caused by the use of certain chemicals, but if they don't warn you in the manual, I personally consider it a defect. Are you using the manufacturer's warranty, or an extended warranty?

If tear is in the crease where the air bag should rip to deploy, I would call it a defect in the safety system. Perhaps a more pointed inquiry that an improper air bag deployment could result in injury and legal consequences may help.

good luck
