Self healing windshield washers?

It was about 30 degrees this week and pretty grubby here south of Cincinnati. When I used the windshield washer, the fluid formed ice on the windshield. I held on the washer to run out the fluid, which it did in about a minute. I refilled the tank with about a gallon of pre-mixed windshield washer fluid.

The next time I used the windshield washer (pull back on the wiper control lever) the washer continued after I released the lever. I could get it to stop by pulling the lever down to turn on the wipers. However, on the next few times I tried the windshield washer (pull on the lever and release), the washer continued to run. This was true after the outside temperature was in the high 30 degrees, lower 40 degrees for the past week. If left to run on its own, it seems that the washer would empty the reservoir.

Today, I tried the washer and it worked as described in the manual: it squirts as long as you hold back on the lever.

So, the TSX got well!

Has anybody had the washers want to stay on, and then get permanently fixed themselves?

Thanks for your thoughts, TSX buddies!
