Seatbelt "reminder" disable?

that annoying beepng stops after about 5 mins....drive for about 5 mins....then it will stop....and for the guys with the 6mt....it keeps going from the time you start the car.....

That's one of the reasons why these are no longer used. They were poorly implemented, having NO safety precautions. There were no obstruction sensors or anything of the like. Numerous incidents were reported of people (many of them children) being trapped or choked by the auto-seatbelts.
Another big reason was that the auto-seatbelts were two separate parts that needed to work in tandem to work properly: the shoulder auto-belt and the manual lap belt. Too many people thought that since it was an automatic belt, they didn't need (or were too lazy to use) the lap-belt part. This is as dangerous, if not more, than no seatbelt at all; since in a collision, the occupant's hips will continue forward and they will slide under (and possibly get choked by the shoulder belt). These things ended up creating a backlash against the auto-seatbelts.

Sure, they may have been annoying, but they were annoying because they were badly designed and poorly implemented.
