i've been driving my 04 for quite a while now, and i haven't seen any rust back in december, and here in montreal, its been snowing like no tomorrow, they throw salt, cars get dirty, etc

i took my car for a quick car wash and i noticed there was few rust spots/holes on my hood and behind my car on the rear bumper.

so i'm asking if you guys know and good way to get rid/fix them so it doesnt get worst..

i found some liquid rust remover at my dad's garage, but he never used it and all the videos on youtube, they're using it on huge chunk of metals. I'm scare that its gonna start burning the paint to get to the rust and leave it black like in the videos,

any thoughts?

 

is it tiny rush particles? if so then just use a clay bar kit to remove it

 

I'm suspecting it's not rust, because the bumpers are made of plastic, and plastic doesn't rust, right?

Try a clay bar kit first, it could be some other stuff.

 

The rear bumper is made of plastic. Maybe your are talking about the rear fender between the bumper and the fender ?

Anyway, if you are perforation and the car has never been treated with oil, your car is still under the factory warranty.
