rock chip

Having the worst day ever yesterday compounded by the fact a freaking construction truck with a trailer with no brake lights decided to let loose a rock about the size of a half-dollar. Hit the road first, bounced up my hood, windshield, and over the top of my car. Stopped and inspected the damage-rock hit me so hard it dinged and took off the paint all the way up my hood. Its very noticable because it actually dented the hood in. Windshield just had a couple of chips out of it. Does anyone know if this is worth fixing? I have always wanted a carbon fiber hood....

Damn, sorry to hear! Similar thing happened to me, only slightly dented and chipped the hood though. All I did to fix was to very carefully apply touch-up paint, so chip is not there anymore but dent is still somewhat noticible when looked at from the "right" angles.

If you've always wanted CF hood then might just as well go for it girl!!!
