Hello,

I am sending out the following letter via snail mail on Monday:

Dear Consumer Reports,

I am writing in regards the 2004 Acura TSX sedan that you previewed in the March 2004 issue. I purchased a TSX (VIN: JH4CL96834C007310) in July of 2003 and I have been disappointed with the car ever since I got it home. It is plagued with numerous squeaks, creaks, vibrations, and rattles. I have visited an Acura dealer close to my work three times and they have been unable to fix any of the noises. The service manager stated that they are getting a number of complaints about both the TSX and TL due to rattles. Acura has not been able to offer dealers a repair recommendation. I recently telephoned Acura customer service to complain. They setup a fourth service appointment with the dealer that I originally purchased the car from. I am not optimistic. The rattles and noises that I am experiencing are as follows:

o Driver and passenger seatbelt height adjusters vibrate and buzz

o In cold weather (< 40F) the dash creaks

o In cold weather (< 50F) the driver's seat bottom/rail creaks and buzzes

o The rear passenger door rattles

o The rear speaker deck rattles

o The driver and passenger door locks buzz

o In moderate weather (> 40F) the driver and passenger door's vibrate unless you crack open the window

When you review the TSX, please pay careful attention to interior noises. It is a chief complaint amongst owners. Also, please visit the Car Problems and Fixes forum at the owner's web site http://www.acura-tsx.com/forums. You will see that many other owners are having the same problems and that Acura and their dealers are often not helping.
