Replacing Upstream O2 Sensor
I had my upstream O2 Sensor start to go bad on me. I purched a scan tool that pulled pending codes and the car was throwing a code telling me the air fule ratio sensor was bad O2 sensor bank one sensor one. I called the dealer to get a price to have this changed and they told me $550.00 with labor. For the record no one should pay it I changed mine out today it took me 20 minuits including putting it on and taking it off ramps. All you need is an O2 sensor tool you buy at napa for $11.25 and a 3/8" Drive ratchet. Any monkey can do it. Apparently it is a problem when you hit 100K mine happened when I hit 67K.

Someone stole "My Garage"
You don't even need the tool... just the proper sized wrench and a careful application of torque from your arm. Changed mine ($210 CAD for the part from a friend at Honda) in 5 minutes. The hardest thing was getting my arm into the right spot to connect the wire, and even that was a 2/10 on the scale of annoying-ness.

Jesus $550 for the O2 sensor? The part costs $204. There is no way even with a book time of 1 hr that this job should costs more than $300. Your Acura dealer is a robber in every way possible and should be avoided at all costs. Please make sure to post the dealer name so that people can avoid this dealer. It makes me mad that dealers get away with highway robbery. I am glad that I can stick it to them as I do almost all work on my car myself and probably better than any dealer tech.
