Unhappy Replacing rear bumper price?

The rear bumper on my TSX got dented and I'm wondering how much it will cost to replace it. Well, dented is too nice a word. There is about a 2 inch vertical crack along with scratches on the driver side of the rear bumper. So the whole bumper will have to be replaced. Does anyone have any clue how much this would cost? Or is there any danger in me waiting to have it fixed? Since there is an actual hole in the bumper I'm wondering if I'm in danger of getting water in there causing rusting or something. I have no idea what is behind the bumper--metal or not. Any help? I can take a pic and post it if that would help.

My guess would be $700-$1000. You have to buy a new bumper and then paint it which takes quite a bit of time.

US $315 for the bumper alone, if I recall correctly. The 3-level paint will add another little chunck; but it's the labor I'd be concerned about. Here in CA, the labor cost me over $1500 in a $2000 material repair bill (rear bumper and fix to rear left quarter panel).
