Removing Loctite Red

Just as general info, if you're trying to remove any nut, bolt, etc., that is fastened with Loctite red, the best way to break it is by applying heat. I removed my gear shift knob which I had (stupidly) fastened with Loctite instead of the locknut. A MAP torch got it more than hot enough without messing up any other plastic parts and it unscrewed easily. The knob looks pretty cool after my proprietary "heat treatment", too.
