Rear suspension off-balanced (HELP)

I just noticed that my car is lower at the rear right wheel. It looks like a drop. The difference in the gaps between right and left is about 1-1.5 inch.

So far I have no mod on my ~4 month-old TSX. I commute to work with 2 friends and the one usually sitting on the rear right hand side doesn't seem to have a heavy butt. So what the hell is the drop? MY neighbour secretly installed Eibach for me? (shit, I'm pissed and shouldn't be joking around)

It's usually a good sign of a broken coil spring. Go have it checked at your dealer, ASAP. It could be potentially dangerous, depending on where the fracture could be.

Most probably. But if you went straight to the dealer tomorrow, it shouldn't be that critical.

Update of strange problem

This morning before I got into the car, I confirmed this strange drop in the rear right wheel. Yes, this abnormal gap was still there. Then I asked my friend to sit on the left instead of right as he used to for the past 2 months. After 15 miles to work, I checked again. Now the left wheel has been lowered too, giving an equal drop on both side.

WTF? Does coilspring require break-in as well? Does my buddy have a gigantic ass that weights a ton? Am I freaking paranoid or what?

I wouldn't doubt that the coilspring needs to be broken in as well. I had eibach pro-kit springs intalled in my car about 2 weeks ago and I notice that the driver side is lower than the passenger side in the back. I'm assuming that it's because I haven't had anyone in the passenger seat since the drop was done, so the springs haven't totally settled yet.

Tell your freind to lay off the Cheesy Poofs

I think this is the first time Helico actually discussed his TSX in a thread. I was wondering if he even had one.

Anyway, what I've noticed is that when I see other TSX's on the road the wheel gap seems to be bigger than it is on my car. Seems my car has lowered itself over the 45K.

so far I've noticed that my Eibach drop is lower on the left side than the right. But the car isn't balanced symetrically, so that could have something to do with it.

Its also possible your alignment is off which is changing the geometry of the rear right wheel and makes it look different.

Forget about Eibach. Whoever wants to drop his car, I can lend my friend to you.

Hmmm yeh. Helico, you better give us a historic of your car. I've never heard of any such thing as breaking in stock shocks. They get broken in on the delivery truck!

I was like when I saw the gap.

Not much of interesting history. I have this friend who used to sit on the rear right, for the past 2 months. Only until yesterday that I noticed the gap variation. Well, I had him switch to the left this morning. After about 15 miles to my lab, three of us took a good look of the car. Woah lah, it's balanced again.

They think I'm fuking psycho, but I swear by the dealth of my boss:o
