Reaching 100k miles
Hello fellow TSX Family,
Im your typical daily driver that is need on some great advice and help. My car is currently near its congratulatory 100k mark sometime in a coupe of weeks.
Just a gist of my daily driving, I normally drive an avg of 40 mile back and forth a day. Mainly on the highway.
I have less than 400 miles left till I reach 100k miles. I currently have Fidelity Warranty Service and will expire 7yrs/100kmiles. (Like all dealerships, whichever number comes first is the expiration date).
I would like to redeem and make use of the warranty before it expires, and at the same time would like to go forward and do the routine inspection/maintenance of 90k-120k miles. I have not done either of the two and normally do the minor maintenance (eg:Replace Eng Oil & Filter, Air Cabin Filter, Tire Rotation, Alignment, & top fluid levels)
I have a slip of the recommended maintenance sheet from acura, and majority of what the service include are "inspect" the car itself. I don't mind having that taken care of, but I surely do not want to pay for extra expense that I have already taken care of (for ex:replaced timing belt, 4 tires, installed ingalls camber)
From the list of the recommended services, having the brake fluid replaced as well as the engine coolant are one of the top priorities that I would gladly accept and possibly the inspections.
My cars current problems or issues that ive noticed:
-Ive read a couple of posts about the steering wheels shaking while accelerating and braking. Some fixes were to get an alignment, which I have done yet was solved but only temporarily. During the warm months, every time I pressed on the break mainly on streets, my steering wheel would shake so much and the whole underbody of the car would feel a little shaken as well. Ive replaced the rotors(Orig O'Reilly EBC) and pads(OEM) last year, which solved the solution but temporarily. While driving through train tracks and braking due to a traffic light near it, the whole underbody seem to have a slow and shaky response to gripping on the road and stop. It also jumps while pressing on the breaks, especially on bumpy roads and tracks. Now that the weather is cooler, the shaky feeling is not as bad as it was before. What could be the direct result?
Part of my question would be my top concern for the suspension of the car. The engine of the car is perfect. The braking ability and shaky response really concerns me, and would like to know if it could be warrantied before my warranty expires. Would the dealership be fully helpful in pointing those signs out to me and hoping it would be covered in the warranty or do I have to point it out to them and hope they agree that the shaky response should be solved?
Ive appraised for the pricing on the service for 90-120k miles and said it would run about $459. If I were to do some of the outlined lists from other shops for a cheaper price. Would I still be charged full price, even though I have already done the maintenance or just deduct that service from their total price?
Any ideas I can probably have the warranty be of use before it expires?
PS:
What is a KREX Fuel Injector Cleaner?
I currently have a Injen CAI, currrently in SRI form. Should I replace it in OEM when I go to the dealership this upcoming week for the maintenance and such?
I do apologize for any wrong terms I might have used or slang. Im just trying to get my car to last for long time. I love it!
Please feel free to email me at mjavi1989@gmail.com for personal msg.
Any feedback and input would be a great help!

I did not have an extended warranty on my tsx so before it reached 50,000 miles I had the dealer check my car out. It did not need anything. At 100K+ miles I did have the spark plugs replaced along with the coolant and MTF. Personally I think you are doing an excellent job maintaining your car-keep it up=just one thing-tsx has a timing chain. Welcome to the 100K club.
Car shaking when braking is a sign of warp rotors. You might want to put on some quality rotors and have your calipers checked for proper operation. The pulsations you feel from the pedal when braking on bumpy roads are the result of your anti-lock braking system engaging. Like nj2pa2nc noted, TSX's have timing chain, and you may want to replace your spark plugs. There should be nothing to worry about, 100k miles should be nothing for a typical Honda.
The only reason I go to AutoZone is for the warranty since my car is out of warranty now. I would say they are comparable but I'm always in traffic here in L.A. so i can't say with 100% assurance they will be better or worse.
I graduated with a degree in automotive service technology and now i'm a service technician for a honda dealership. The shaking when breaking can be just a few things: Most likely your rotors are warped or off spec, or your wheels are not balanced corectly. I have seen this issue before being caused by severely worn tie rod ends. but the miles you have on your car that shouldn't be the issue.
