question about 04 Nav and Mute Wire
I purchased a motorola T605 bluetooth handsfree car kit for my 04 TSX with Nav/Auto and it will suppport a mute and +/- for audio.
I noted that when I was working on the audio function of the system when I hooked up the audio extender to add two rca jacks that the wire coming from the nav to the audio head only had three wires running in it.
Does anyone know if it is the mute and +/- for the audio pass from the nav unit to the radio and if so, which one is which?. I would love to use the cars speakers for the audio of the handsfree kit instead of the little speaker it came with.

I don't believe that there is a mute wire present on the harness going from the Audio extender to the audio head unit. Plus you want to mute the entire stereo regardless of what you're listening to, correct?
There is a mute wire present on the factory deck though. Pin #14 of the main 20 pin harness on the back of the stereo. This was in my non navi model, so I have no idea if this is what is used by the factory navi to mute the stereo.

I was curious about the original wiring harness since on the t adaptor there is just the three wires coming from the nav unit to the back of the stereo. If it would work like the nav unit, that would be better then using the little speaker with the bluetooth kit.
I dont know about the wiring harness for a non nav unit stereo as the two harnesses are different.
