Pull on my steering?

I have an 04 TSX and it has a right pull on the steering. When I hit my brakes or release my hands from the wheel it pulls right. I took it to the dealership for an alignment and to rotate my tires but the pull is still there. The mechanic said it is probably the radial tires. Anyone else have any ideas on the cause/fix?

P.S. I have two different types of tires on the car.

Thanks!

How MUCH of a pull? If you remove your hands from the wheel, does the car IMMEDIATELY start to pull off to one side? I dont think ANY car will track perfectly straight for an extended period of time, but I could be wrong.

I have a pull, too. But its so slight, its more like a "drift." Car will start to go off to the left after about 4 or 5 seconds. Trying to figure out if its something thats acceptable or should be checked.

Having two types of tires on your car isn't recommended.

How long have you had the pull? I think I remember about the 04 having defective control arms...maybe check out the TSB list to see if you're affected?

190 for alignment wow. That is outrageous. I Got mine done at an acura dealership for 70 bux, and i'd bet that other places would be cheaper. They probably did not do an alignment and just said they did. The car should track straight when the steering wheel is straight, not when to the side. Go to another delaership near you and tell the guy that the car drifts alot, then they should suggest an alignment and then give ou the price. But 190 is outrageous, unless they did rotation, high speed balance, and alignment, but still it costs a bit much.

Sorry to bring back an old thread. I have had the same problem with my 06 for the past year or so. I have done multiple alignments and the steering is still off, the car drifts to the right. From what I have read in other threads, my steering wheel may be off center and needs to be adjusted. Does anyone know if that is covered under warranty or not?

I just brought my week old TSX in for alignment today. It pulled to the left slightly and now it pulls to the right slightly. (sigh) At least it's under warranty and I didn't have to pay anything for it but looks like I'll have to bring it back in again.

When I first bought my 06, my steering wheel was off. I had an alignment done and told the service people do not give me the car back if the steering wheel is not straight, I will not accept it. It was done right, and with over 14k miles I have had no trouble.
