Problems after problems!
Problems after problems!
I'm sick of this.
My TSX is facing another problem--1st gear slippage. It's temperamental however, somedays the car's fine and the other days, the gear slips.
I also hear cracking/scraping noises from the engine in each gear if speeding below 50mph, and hear whirring noises every single time I'm in 4th gear.
First gear slippage is causing major safety issues because I can't even drive this car without fear dancing around my back! What to do, what to do.......
Oh, and question.
I'm completely ignorant when it comes to "customer" power. What are the steps I should take to have full control of the issue and to solve the problems I'm currently having with my car?
Sorry for the vent and thanks in advanced.

First you have to get the dealer to adress these problems. You need to give them a genuine chance of repairing.
Take the most precise and concise notes about most every detail: How the dealer reacts to your demands, what he said he'd do. If he resists and doesn't want to repair, the repair that's been done. Most and above all, keep all bills with you.
If the problem hasn't been solved after two or three attempts on your part to get it repaired under warranty, and you feel this brings prejudice to either your safety or the resale value of your car, you will need to study well the Lemon Law that applies in New Jersey. Best of luck to you. I sincerely hope you can get it resolved without needing to take those kinds of recourses, but if it must get there, your ass is covered, as long as you do your homework right.
