Problem with Navi - Re-enter Security code?

After sitting for a week while on vacation, at start-up on return my wife tells me that the Navi screen asked for the security code before it would boot up. Anyone come across this yet?

I did nothing to justify this like disconnecting the battery, disconnecting the navi unit 8P connector or removing the #7 fuse from under the dash as the manual suggests.

Wierd...we entered the security code and everything was fine after that.

Let me know if you have seen this...
Thanks
Mark

Weird indeed. I don't think we've heard anything like that before.

I think its a safty precaution taken by some dealers to check for the code after a certain miles. how many miles were all ur cars at?

Where do I get my security code? I unplugged the Navi connector and now I need my security code. I have no clue what it is.

You should have gotten a "service manual" with your car that has your codes written in it. Not the car manual and not the Navi manual, there's another one that should have the radio and navi code in it.

You should have received a card with the Navi and Radio Security codes. If you can't find the card, here is a link that tells you where you can find the codes in the car.
