Premature replacement of wheels, had to make quick decision
Premature replacement of wheels, had to make quick decision
OK.
So after the great weather today in NYC metro area, specifically NJ, i drove my fiance to work, since she isn't comfortable driving through puddles (she stalled once, and gets worried easily now but can't judge if she should try driving through some that won't hurt).
anyways, a road is closed in NJ on our route, so we turn around to go another way. As we're driving, all of a sudden i see this massive pothole with nowhere to swerve (oncoming traffic or into someone in the other lane?). so i try slowing down to avoid hitting it, but couldn't. the thing was huge. immediately i know it wasn't good so i put my flashers on and got to safe area.
flat tire of course.
get it changed and put the donut on (i really want a full spare, the donut is horrible)
called acura to see about tires. they just put the stock ones on, and charge $220 per tire (ouch!). so i call sam's club and the have goodyear eagle response edge in the size for the TSX.
I don't really have a choice as I am pressed for time, and don't want to ride around on a donut while i mull over which tires to get. So i get them.
1st question....Any thoughts on the tires? 50,000 mile warranty. and sam's club has great service with free flat repair, free rotation every 7k, etc.
Too late to pick other tires, but oh well. Hope these are good.
Also, the technician said the rim was a little bent, so they add weights to it. It's on the rear passenger currently, but he said when it's up front, i might feel it in the ride.
I'm thinking i should replace the rims. Am i over reacting? Anyone on the board selling rims for a 2006 tsx?
