Possibly under carriage damage?

Ok, tonight I was minding my own business heading home. While driving through my subdivision, all of the sudden I heard this loud "BANG" sound. Immediately I thought that I blew a tire. However, after the bang, I looked in my mirror and saw a good size rock rolling down the road. I stopped the car and realized that obviously that is what I ran over. I took the car home and did the best that I could inspecting the wheel wells and under the rear bumper, but to my suprise, I don't see any damage? Could this be possible? This was definitely a good size rock. It almost looked like one of those decoration rocks that fell of a truck or something. Anyway's, is there anything that I should take a look at under the car for damage? I am just amazed that my wheel well didn't crack or something...

Thanks,

Jeff

I'd recommend checking the primary O2 sensor & CV boots for damage.

Where would I find the CV boots at?

Nevermind, lol. It's late.... I just went and looked CV boots look ok. I really can't put it up on the rack, but are there any other areas to check? I was thinking that maybe it would have bounced off the rocker panels under the doors, or perhaps hit the back bumper on the way out. I don't see anything though... Also, how durable are those wheel wells? I can't believe this didn't puncture it.

The wheel wells are fairly durable. For example, I flex the left front wheel well plastic backwards to access my CAI filter; and it still flexes as if new (I'm at 70K miles). If you don't see any punctured places, you're okay.
