Lightbulb Passanger Window Questions

So my car was broken into. Long story short, someone completley shattered my window switch, not the actual window. Now I have a window that is cracked open, and the motor is crapped out, and wont put the window back up.
I called my mechanic and he said he wouldnt be able to put the window back up without the motor. I find that incredibly hard to believe.

Does anyone know if its possible to just have someone put the window back up without actually reparing the motor?(Im not financially ready for that repair)

Since window switch is damaged, it should be possible to short switch wires and cause window to go up. Unlikely the motor is damaged. Pull door panel, find switch wires and experiment to run window all up.

good luck

When I had a body shop, I used to use my 12 volt drill battery to move windows when everything was disconnected.

Take the door panel off and disconnect the window motor. Use a battery around 12 volts and rig 2 wires up to the motor connector.

Worked great for me.
