ok so what happened was,

I was pulling out of my friend's driveway and i accidently hit the curve with front bumper.

when i got out, paint was falling like paint chips on old fences

it's not oem paint though, i was involved in the accident and got a brand new bumper, and new paint.

is it bodyshop's fault for painting it wrong ????

if it is, i'm going to bodyshop for some bitching!!!

(worst bodyshop ever, they got my beam pattern all wrong and there is a gap under my right headlight.)

 

ouch... sounds like either they didn't use paint adhesive or flex paint?

 

Sounds like bad prep work. I have that on my hood. They didn't prepare the paint so that the clearcoat wouldn't adhere well. Good luck getting them to admit it since you hit a curb.

 

I also think the body shop didn't add Flex.

 

I dought there going to do anything abou it you scraped the car I can see if it was falling off by itsslef.

 

It wasn't painted properly...but you probably can't do anything about it since you had to damage it to find out about it...they'll just think you're trying to get a free repaint

 

just came back from the bodyshop.

talked to the guy, and he said they'll take full responsibility.

they'll repaint it and fix all the issues i had mentioned free of charge!

I knew you went to Acetekk.... I had an eerie feeling. Two of my friends work in that shop (Rich and Dong, I'm sure Rich "assured" you..right?), and one that got fired (won't mention his name) halfassed every car that came in for some work.

He painted my front lip for only 50 dollars, but the paint job looks like it was done by a dumbass...which he was.

it's all good since they're fixing it up for free,
