Oxidized chrome grill

There is a spot on the chrome front grill that appears "oxidized" and no matter how I clean it, the same spot always returns. I don't have a pic of it, but the spot is located on the top part of the grill where it meets the front hood. I've been using a cleaner/wax to remove it and it works, but it comes back again.

Anyone else notice this and any suggestions?

If you used the combo cleaner and wax in one, I'd like to suggest you move to the Quick Detailer/Clay bar. Then use either step 2 in the Meguiar's or Mother's 3 step system (or whatever the Zaino equivalent is). Finish it off with a couple coats of wax (or, again, the Zaino equivalent).

I'm just wondering if the cleaner/wax isn't

a) picking up the oxidization well enough and;
b) not providing enough wax protection.

Good Luck!

Cool

Here is my suggestion; dosen't involve any fancy waxing products or anything: go to your deealer and have it replaced

You have a warranty against corrosion... and this is corrosion. Should be replaced no charge.

Good point!

I guess I'm just more of a try to fix it yourself guy (although, anything beyond my capablility (like replacing a rim, or whatever), I definitely go to the dealership.

I went to the dealership today and they said they will replace the part under warranty. Upon closer inspection, it appears that the particular spot was extremely flushed with the hood of the car while the rest had a tiny gap. It probably turned that color due to the extreme heat of the hood.
