oem wheel cracking

oem wheel cracking

hi everyone . i noticed one of my original wheels when i was cleaning them it had a hair line crack starting from the middle of the spoke going towards the back on the edge of the spoke and it was on two of the seven spokes . has anyone else seen this on their wheels i am going to take it to acura but before i do i am going to have a rim shop look to see if the wheels arent bent . will update thanks

i am getting some pics now and i am going to the acura dealer today . but no it is a crack in the wheel. it is probably a weak part during manufacturing. i called the dealer and taking the wheel now.

I've had the same problem. I brought it back to the dealership and they refinished the wheel for me. It takes about 2 days though...so don't forget to schedule a loaner.

refinished? instead of replace? Are you sure it has no structural damage?

If you truly have a cracked wheel, I'd be asking for a new one.

There was no damage to the wheel itself. The surface was still smooth, the cracks could not be felt at all.
