OEM Foglight Bracket Removal

(NOTE: I already have the Foglamp OEM Installation manual) As the title states, I am attempting the removal of the driverside foglamp bracketing/trim to replace the cracked lens. However, I am having difficulties reaching the upper 5x18 self-tapping screw that is mounted on the side of the bumper. Any body else ever had this problem? Any help would be appreciated!!!

If i understand correctly, you're talking about the screw which is located on the side of the fog light. This is the screw which you can only access by looking through the lower grill. I used a long screw driver (10 inch). It worked with no problems. I don't know it the spoiler kit makes it more difficult.

I had to use a small mirror that fit inside the front grill (indirect vision) to locate the screw and used a long magetized screwdriver to remove it. I had to replace both of my fogs due to cracked lens.

Maybe these pictures will help. I installed my fog lights myself and of course removed the front bumper. When one side was damaged several months ago, I again removed the front bumper, converted to HID, and installed Rockblocker at the same time. These pictures are from the original installation.

Sorry to kinda jack this thread, but I haven't installed my foglamps yet and I'm getting worried about all of these posts of people's lenses breaking. Is it common enough a concern to look into Rockblocker or a similar product? I had the OEM fogs on my 93 Civic and never had any lenses break, but perhaps it was a more durable glass than the ones on the TSX.

What's everyone suggest?
