Odd Clunk at startup
All, I've got a 2005 TSX 6sp manual (less than 5k miles). Love it.
But I've noticed a slight clunk when I first start up.
At first, I thought it was the AC compressor kicking in but later I heard it without the AC on.
I also though the car might not have been fully in gear as I pull away but frankly, I've heard and felt it completely at standstill.
Any ideas?
I had a 1993 Nissan Sentra SE-R whose antilock brake system did a short buzz-whine at start up...Nissan's owners manual said this was normal operation of the ABS system.
Could this be the same thing?

We have the exact same noise in our 2005 Odyssey van. My new TSX makes the same noise. I've also had a Toyota that did it. I think I was told by Toyota that it's something about the front brakes "resetting" themselves or something like that. It may even have something to do with the vsa or antilock brakes. But it is normal.
Good to know.
I get the same noise with my 5 speed AT TSX and was wondering about it too.
I've never heard this sound on any other cars I've driven with ABS - like the last two, a '97 Malibu and my wife's '01 Windstar van. My wife now drives an '05 Chevy Equinox - no such noise from it's ABS either.
