Unhappy Not a good week for me

So i'm about 2-3 miles away from my house and cruising when i hear a rattling noise coming from the motor...rattle happens off and on throughout the rpm range...

pull over at a 7-11 and open up the hood...rattle is coming from the blower unit and it sounds like it's about to fall apart

could be an impellar unit is coming loose? Will keep you posted...hopefully Comptech will stand by their product...

this and the break-in of my car this week is not what I need...

I wouldn't drive it like that, you wouldn't want to ingest part of the blower!

spoke to comptech over the phone and asked them about a replacement blower unit in case there is something wrong with the one I have...

they stated it may take a couple weeks as they might not have any in stock at this time...
i hope i can get a loaner car out of the dealership otherwise i'm in deep shit...

Eh that sucks. Sounds like a bad unit and should be covered by comptech. They give you 1 yr warrantee on those dont they?

I would seriously consider sourcing a sub $1k beater car for the meantime! As long as its not too much of an investment, just turn around and sell it for $100 less when your car is fixed. Cheaper than renting a car (much cheaper) and safer than driving yours.
