Is this normal brake wear?
Today I changed my rear brake pads and rotors on my 2006 TSX with 54K miles on it the rotors looked decent but both my rear inner pads had unusual wear The wear is tapered attached is a couple of pictures. Your thoughts

This happens when the pads are not aligned to the caliper piston grooves. One side is cocked.
If you installed, you may need to check your new pads for same problem. The pads have a small nib and pistons have a groove that need to be aligned for proper pad fit.
good luck

I didn't think of that, first time working with these type of rear brakes that the calipers screw in I'm used to compressing the caliper with a "C" clamp I will have to recheck my pads.

How does this type of caliper piston work? if it screws in what happens when you apply the brakes does it scew out to compress the pads? That doesn't make sense to me it seems like this would twist the inboard pads.

I googled how the rear brakes of our type work now I have a better understanding the screw type piston in the caliper is more for the emergency brake. I checked my brake job and everything lined up.
