New TSX owner, few issues/questions

New TSX owner, few issues/questions
Whats going on everyone.
Just got the car about 2 weeks ago, 04 Navi 6MT, 135k miles.
The car did not come with any Navi dvds. I am considering getting the newest one that is on sale for $99, but I am not sure if I can just get that disc and be good to go. Do I need to have another(previous) version loaded and actually running, before I can use/install the new updated disc?
Also I have the wonderful PCB board that is toast, so no lights around the Navi. Still searching for a DIY to fix that.
Any help would be appreciated!
Liking the car though! The last 6 years I have been in a 01 and then 02 S2000, so the sedan is just an all around different car than I am used to but I still like it.
