New member needs a little help

Hey everyone I'm new to the site. I'm 19 and my first car was a 1998 Accord coupe v6 with A/T and I just upgraded my ride to a 2004 TSX in a 6-speed with Nav etc. I've got a lot of learning to do with my new car and all of it's features. I couldn't find a 'classifieds' link on the forum so I thought I'd ask if anyone has an OEM Driver side tail light. Mine works fine, but the previous owner hit something and it has a chip in the lens cover. I called the local dealer and they said I have to buy the entire assembly. I checked Ebay and craigslist and all I can find are chinese lights that are about $65. I'm on a budget so I'm open to suggestions. I'd post a pic of my car but I don't see the manage attachments tab . Thanks in advance for any info.

Welcome congrats on your purchase!
The "classified" area is located on the Off topic tab, Then scroll down to "Black market". If you are not ok with aftermarket tail lights then just spend a little extra at the dealer.

To post photos you will need to upload your pics using an image sharing site like photobucket or tinypic

Thanks guys. I guess the reason I can't see the 'black market' classifieds is because I'm in the 15 day waiting period. It's ok because I'm in no rush. It's a minor chip, but I like to have things nice and clean (and affordable ). I'll try a tinypic link. I'll probably mess it up though.

Thanks! And I honestly don't know what CGP stands for but I'll take a stab at "Charcoal Graphite Pearl"? Just a guess and probably wrong. But yeah, I like the color. I think it'll look cleaner than a black one would. Does anyone know why my wheels are different and I guess I have the "Tech Package" because it has all the voice commands etc. I don't know why mine has a factory body kit or the wheels, but I saw an EXACT match of mine today while driving it (I bought it yesterday) except the one I saw didn't have a wing. If you guys know why mine has these additional features please inform me. I'm much more of a motorcycle guy than car, so it's all new to me.

Man, where do you live? That 2004 is in amazing condition. I just bought mine a few weeks ago and its in good but not excellent condition; some dings/scratches around the car (especially the rear bumper). But thats because i live in nyc, any car you get here will get damaged in no time.

Haha mine isn't perfect either because of the low body panels from the factory. I'm in south Florida and it does have some bumps here and there. It just images well I guess. So far I really like the car.

whoever owned the car last added the car with a kit and the wing spoiler was more than likely added on also. Same with the wheels, the OEM wheels are different.

Ah, ok . So the wing, body kit, and wheels were added on maybe by the dealer down here at the buyer's preference? Or is it an aftermarket job? I find it odd that I've NEVER seen one equiped like mine and then just yesterday I see the exact same setup minus the wing. And the wheels caught my eye because I've never seen these before and they remind me of integra wheels. Any idea what's up with those as well? Thanks for all of the info so far guys, I'm learning a lot as I go.

Don't recognize the wheels; probably aftermarket, not Acura (or not an Acura wheel available as a TSX dealer installed option anyway)(not positive of that though). The OE wheels are 7 spoke on an 04; you might find a shot of them in the pictures section. I'd also guess that a previous owner added the tires and wheels as a package since the tires look a little smaller than OE. The OE size is 215/50x17. I'm not too familiar with the Acura body kit (not a fan), but that's what it looks like to me (dealer or owner installed). There was no tech package in 04. The car was available with or without Nav, and with an auto or manual trans. If you can stroke a dealer a bit, you might get them to check the car's service and warranty history. There are a number of problem areas that seem to be associated with the 04 model year cars (only).

The wheels are stock size. They do look small to me too, though. I think it's the unrecognizable wheel or something making it look smaller. I searched on Ebay and there are a couple of my wheels on there for sale. They are marketed as Honda accord wheels so I'm assuming it may have been a dealer special who got some Accord wheels and had the acura center hubs as an option maybe. I'll definitely want to find out the main problem areas for my car. Can anyone make a quick short list off the top of your head? Also, my wheels are curbed and nicked in certain places on each of them. I'm thinking of doing the DIY repair with metal repair bondo type product as other forums and posts have pointed out. I want to do it the right way but on a budget, not powdercoating etc. I'm thinking satin black by duplicolor because the graphite might match TOO much and look odd. Any suggestions/opinions? Thanks again for all the help so far.

Thanks! I like cars to be close to stock so I'm ok with the factory body kit because it looks fine. My brother just got a 2005 in silver and auto base model and I like the lines of his too.

OEM Honda wheel type on a accord coupe...

It's also called the Sunburst Wheel for the TSX. It's a Acura Dealer option. Can't post the pic, but here's the link: http://www.handa-accessories.com/vie...unburstlrg.jpg
