Need some advice!!!
Ok, I posted a while back about my CEL coming on. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the injectors but that did not fix the problem. A week later the car shut down on me and started smoking out of the exhaust pipe. I then had it towed back to the dealership where they could not figure out what was wrong and sent me on my way. The car's CEL then came back on and I had to have it towed again (for the third time in a week) to the shop. This time they said that the computer was no good and would have to be replaced. Well, that was August 27th! For three weeks they have had my car and I am still waiting as of right now. My question is, what would you guys do in this circumstance? I have had a loaner the whole time and the only cost to me has been my time, but now I am hesitant to take the car back. It only has 17k miles and has already had these serious problems. Anyway, let me know what you think.
Thread resurrection time!
Just going through some of my old posts and wanted to post the resolution to this particular issue in case somebody came upon this thread and was curious (haven't had this car since early 2006 so its quite the old thread). Anyway, I did take the car back again and eventually they discovered that the cause of all the issues turned out to be a missing O2 sensor on the bottom of the car. Apparently I hit something in the road that knocked it off and that caused the computer to run the car super rich. They replaced it and fixed the minor damage underneath and the car never had any other issues after that.
Just wanted to set the record straight in case somebody saw this thread and was dissuaded to buy a used TSX. It wasn't the car's fault...
