Hey guys, I recently tried to run a back-up copy of my navigation disk, but it did not work after trying to load. So, I gave up and decided to use the OEM nav disk, but am now getting a "Check Disk" error everytime after it attemts to download software . Is there anyway to reset the navigation system or fix it?

Someone suggested that I hold down the Menu, Map/Guide/ and Cancel buttons, but nothing comes up.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

 

well with the OEM DVD you need to force a download.

so remove the ground to the battery for 30 seconds with the origional DVD in the car. The old OS will load back after you start the car up

 

you can't copy the disc...... long story. if the power cycle via the battery doesn't work, you may have gotten some dirt in the DVD player. Try to clean the laser head and disc.

 

you can burn any DVDs before 4.61 i believe or at least I did. You just have to know what you are doing
