Navi code question...
Navi code question...
So i changed my battery today. Started the car back up and its asking for a code. Now i have two cards with codes on them from the previous owner (i believe theres two because his first navi broke and got replaced). Anyways, the navi is asking for a 4 digit code... and both codes are five digits on the cards... Am i just an idiot or is something screwy here?
The 4 digit code is the navi code, and the 5 digit code is the radio code.
If you open your glove compartment and look around (I won't specifically say where to look in case thieves are reading this)....you might see a sticker with the code on it.
Since you said that he replaced the navi though, it might be the old code. In that case, you might have to have a talk with your dealer.

Hehe, informed thieves will know about the sticker anyway. (Makes note to self to remove that damn thing.)
Dealers are a good bet. The service manager should be able to look up your VIN and find all the codes and particulars (incl. key numbers).

ok i get it now. i unlocked the radio and climate control with the 5 digit code.... but its still asking me for the 4 digit code for the screen to work. the previous owner says he never set a code for his personal addresses and stuff, ive asked him multiple times. do you know of a default code that comes from the factory?

Could they have made that sticker in the car more obvious? NO. I think I'm relocating it to the back of the glovebox or just removing it. It's ugly.

There is no default code.
