nav is stupid

i live in dallas and i kno this city pretty well. I like to test the nav's power but it always gives me a route that takes small bumpy streets instead of the freeway. The freeway is geometricaly a longer route, but since u drive faster and dont have stop lights, it is faster. Now dont call me dumb, i tried out all the routes: easy, direct, maximize freeway, minimize freeway. But it doesnt work. Only like half the time does it take me on the freeway. Sometimes the stupid thign makes me drive on the service road instead of the freeway. WTF? can someone comment on this or help me out?

Sorry, can't help you out, but while we're complaingin about the Navi, here's something else that annoys me a lot.

I hate when you go to enter a store name and it pulls up several variations, each with multiple sub-categoreis. For example, if you enter and select "Best Buy" you get multiple sub-categories including stuff like:

Electronics - retail
Appliance sales
Computer sales and servicing
etc.

I don't know the exact categories, but I know it is quite frustrating to look through all of them trying to find the closest store. The same thing happened to me when I put in Pep Boys. I got sub-categories like: "Auto parts", "Auto repair", etc, and I had to look through several. It seems that they're all the same Pep Boys store but different stores are classified differently for some reason.

Why do we have to look through all these damn categories?!? What a stupid design.

Plus there are stores / restaurants , etc that have been open 2+ years that are still not in the database.

I was just searching for Best Buy earlier tonight, and I had the same problem. I was able to get around it buy going to Places --> Shopping --> All Shopping --> Place Name --> Sort Nearest (Trying to do this from memory, but you get the idea). Then I put in Best Buy, and it gave me all of the stores that began with Best Buy, sorted by distance. Doing it this way allows you to skip all of the sub category crap.
