Glad to hear the source of the problem was identified.

I understand your ambivalence towards your "new" car, given that a ciritical engine component utterly failed within a month of purchase. Thirty grand is certainly not pocket change and I'm sure a good chunk of that was for buying into the "brandname".

Word of advice, though, one of the unwritten rules on this board is "thou shalt not mention any design flaws of the TSX!" There is low tolerance for such blasphemy.

Good luck with the new car.

Haha, yes I've noticed that. I think some people have trouble interpreting (there's that word again) my intentions. If I thought the car was a piece of garbage and that anyone who has bought one or loves the car is a loser, then I'd just come right out and say it. That certainly is NOT the case. I think it is a fantastic car--perhaps one of the best cars in its class, especially for the money. That is why I bought one.

However having once been a technician, I'm apparently too critical and "burned out" for most die-hard enthusiasts to handle.
