Is my car a Lemon?

My 06 TSX has more issues I'd like to deal with.

1. WATER LEAK (Been in the shop for 3 individual "reapair" attempts. Won't know if fixed untill it rains )

2. EXTREMLY LOUD GRAOANING/MOANING SOUND WHEN REVERSING (Reversing without applying the brakes for a number of yards/feet)

3. METAL ON METAL NOISE WHILE DRIVING (Brakes applied, noise becomes worse and eventually stop at some point, either at high or low speed)

4. CAR/STEERING WHEEL SHAKES when brakes are applied (At high and low speed but inconsitantly)

5. CAR LOCKS GROAN/WHINE when locking/unlocking doors (Replaced driver's door actuator ONLY)

Under Florida Lemon law, the vehicle has NOT been out of serivice for 15 days to repair one or more substancial defects NOR have 3 or more repair attempts have been made to repair the same substancial defect(s) or condition(s).

Do YOU think my car is a lemon? ANYONE has had these probs? How did u fix? Do dirsregard #4. We all know it's probably a warped brake rotor.

If new, then maybe.

If used, you bought a poorly taken care of car.

It needs to be in for the same problem three or more times or in for more than 15 days. Have you had it in for all the problems or just the water leak? If the car is under warranty and you have the time, I would just keep taking it back in until you qualify for the lemon law. Make sure you keep all your work invoices and they also deduct for mileage if you do get your money back for the car.

I went through the lemon law process with my VW GTI. Mine went in three times for transmission trouble and a total of 21 days. When the problem happened the fourth time I filed for the lemon law. It took about three months to finally get my money back for the car. I also had to travel to hearings and deal with an a-hole from VW trying to make me look like a liar. It was worth it in the end though.

1. Give you car a wash.
2. Normal. You're suppose to hear a whine sound when reversing. It's a different sound than normal driving due to the type of gear.
3. Maybe no lube for the metal pieces holding the brake pads.
4. Try to get an alignment.
5. Check it out with the dealer.

Okay, the car has officially been in 3 times for the leak but I'm not sure if that's fixed untill the downpours come. My car has been in for a total of 14 days between all these "warranty repairs" in total so i gues I'll be filing lemonlaw...

It's not the normal reverse noise. Trust me on this one.

I'll def try everything. THanks!

I think lemon law criteria vary by state, so check with your specific state's laws or contact a lawyer.

you could also read the consumer information booklet that should have come with your car-it explains each states lemon laws.

That is a good idea. I called the Florida Lemon law hotline and explained my situation and they were very helpful.

Good Luck

A family member had their oddyssey replaced after the dealer's failed attempt to fix a window problem in CA. It would stop working randomly and replacing the motor, etc did not fix it in the long term.

1. Wait till it rains.

2. Meh I don't know about this one.

3. Meh I don't know about this one.

4. May not only be a alignment issue, but your brake pads may be contacting an uneven rotor surface. Either get new pads or resurface your OEM rotors. Or you can upgrade to aftermarket.

5. My car locks whine a few times from time to time.
