Minor bucking/sliding noise when put in drive

Minor bucking/sliding noise when put in drive

have automatic. when place into drive after starting car hear minor sliding type of noise(almost like a bucking noise)- never occurs off red light or while driving. any thoughts?

I have the same problem!! I remember reading something about this in another thread, i wonder if this is something i should be worried about.

sounds like the ABS noise we've talked about on here. I beleive someone referred to it as "ABS priming" if you do a search for that. If that is what it is, it's perfectly normal.

Actually I think it's the transmission shifting into gear. It does this also when I move into sequential mode and select 2nd gear start on cold snowy mornings. Seems to go away after vehicle has reached normal operating temperature.
