Mid Question

Hi,

The MID in my '06 is very inconsistent with its display. I've noticed that the display is turned off sometimes and I would then have to press the "i" button on the steering to have it appear. However, at certain times, the MID stays on at all times. I've read the manual and it does not seem to have covered this. How do I get it to stay on permanently? Thanks.

It won't. If you turn on the car with the door open, it should come on once you close the door. I have to push the "i" button all the time when starting-up. It's just the way the MID works.

I thought there was a way to have the MID come up automatically when you start the car. I’m too lazy to look in the manual to figure it out. It is just part of my routine to start the car, press the “i” button, and press the Navi “OK” button.
