Maintenance Required?

How do you turn ours off, when it hits the 10,000 mile mark and on?

damn, i did EXACTLY what the manual told me:

1. Press reset and hold reset
2. Turn key to ON (II)
3. Wait 10 sec until the light resets.

Did this several times, but it never reset! Anyone have that same pb?

I believe you have to press and HOLD reset. Not press, release, and hold.

Otherwise you appear to be doing it correctly.

Lies!

Ok, I have an '05 TSX, and like everyone else my MAINT REQ'D light came on around 8000 miles. I have tried holding down the trip reset button, turning the ignition on (i tried both to just acc power and starting the car) and waiting about 10 seconds.

No dice. Still flashes when I start the car. Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone successfully reset this warning light?

Thanks!

Be sure you hitting ON II. if you start the car, it won't work either. I've used this method and it works fine for me...

Be sure you're holding the reset button before you turn your key to II.

I press and hold the reset button, turn the key to on (pos II)... and after ten seconds the temperature gauge starts adjusting itself and the reset light stays on!

Hold the botton down, then turn the key to on and wait approx 30 seconds to be sure. My temp started adjusting also (I had to readjust the temp when I was done, apparently you can set it to display up to +5 or -5 degrees from the reading). The "key" is to hold the button down for a good 30 seconds. That worked for me.
