"Maint Req'd" Light

Hi all - I have a 2004 TSX with about 92k miles on it. At 90k, the "maint req'd" light would blink at me when i started my car, but would stop after about 5 -6 blinks. I ignored it because i thought it was trying to remind me that i need a 90k routine check up. As i kept driving it up to 92K, the light now comes on and stays on. Is the light just being more forceful in telling me to get my routine check-up, or is there potential that there is truly something wrong? (I've always taken excellent care of my car as far as oil changes and regular maintenance, so the light seems out of the blue to me)

Go to an auto parts store like autozone. Get a free scan. They'll let you know what codes pop up and any additional info. Then you can either google the code or post it up on here.

That is just your friendly reminder for maintenance. You can reset it, i don't remember how.

1) Turn they key to the II position
2) Turn the key to the off position, and push and hold in the odometer reset button
3) Turn the key back to the II position, while still holding the button.
4) After about 10-15 seconds, the light should go off.

Correct. It will blink and turn off at first, but then as you get closer to the maintenance interval, it will stay on. I believe 2004 models have 10k service intervals under the "normal" conditions.
