When I started my car today, the Maint. Required light flashed for a few seconds before disappearing. I've owned the car since July 2006 and have never seen that light before. My TSX has 51.4k miles on it. My guess is it's the oil reminder. In the past I have had my oil changed at the three month mark - however, I'm now shooting for 5k intervals, since I've moved to Synthetic. I'm at about 2.5k right now. Does it seem realistic the light's coming on for this reason, or is there something else I should check given my car's mileage?

I should also mention that when my car was broken into in 07, the only thing they took was my packet of owner's information - including the maintenance schedule. So, I can't exactly consult that document...

As long as I've been posting here I should have searched first... :-p

Anyway, apparently this is more likely to be a regular service interval reminder... however as I said I've been robbed of my owner's manual and maintenance schedule. I DID search and wasn't able to turn up a maintenance schedule on the forums. Does anyone know what service would be due around the 51.4k mark? As it stands I'm just going to reset the light myself and move on with my life because my car's running fine.

 

What really sux is, it took me exactly 1 minute to find it in the FAQ section.
