Well, I'm going to go to my friend who works as an Acura tech to help me look at it. I hope this get fixed soon otherwise I'll be burning so much money on gas. Thank god, the new body is coming out for the 2008. I plan on getting it as soon as it hits the market

There's is nothing wrong with his car, this guy think there is. He bought it used in Sept with around 8700 miles. He's barely at 10,000 miles. He only drives on local and drives pretty slow if you ask me. On local, we have stop signs and lights on almost every block. He doesnt even use his car much. Everytime I ask him to go on the highway, he's like no im scared!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kevin MAN UP

Don't talk about slow when you drive 40s on local. Also do not reply to this thread if you are not going to help.
What does my gas mileage has to do with it if I barely use but my dad drives it a lot? You just made yourself look like an idiot. Just because one doesn't drive on the highway does not make me scared. I do not feel ready yet. You've been driving for quite some time. If I cause an accident on the highway, you wouldn't take responsibility for making me go so why would I listen to you. Your words fall on deaf's ears.
My dad said that during the first start of the car today, the exhaust smell stunk! Also this evening when I tried to start it, it felt like it did not want to start at all. It had to rev a few more times to start and when it did, it felt like the car was going to die because the rpm was really low then it just slowly started. Do you guys think it's the spark plugs or something more serious.

Second, if it starts up and then has problems with very low RPM's, then there is something wrong. This is further validated by the fact that you are getting 11-15 mpg, which is 5000 lb+ V-8 truck territory. I highly doubt it's spark plugs unless you have 80,000 miles plus on your car. The iridium plugs are rated for 100k.
I'm not an expert, but your dealer really should take care of this. Put your stock intake on, even though there's no way that's causing the problem. Maybe a bad oxygen sensor is throwing off the air to fuel ratio? Could be lots of things.
And if you haven't driven it on the highway much, give it a try or have someone else drive it. See how your mileage changes and if it gets into the low to mid 20's. I think 11 mpg is ridiculously low, but I could believe mid to high teens if you are driving stop light to stop light without any cruising. Driving patterns do make a big difference on fuel economy.
^^ well said.
I know it shouldn't matter but was it you or your dad that took it to the dealer? Maybe the dealer dismissed you because of your age?
Maybe if your dad took it in the dealer would be more likely to investigate the problem. In any case, its DEFINITELY NOT because you have an aftermarket intake.

On thing I might have noticed recently with my 06 TSX is it seems to have horrible fuel economy during a startup+idle. I have a remote starter, so I start it every morning to get it warm. When I parked the car last night, MPG was at 17.9. When I got in this morning after a 10min max startup, it was down to 16.8! Granted, not a lot of miles on the odometer (just filled up yesterday, so maybe 20 miles tops), but I wouldn't think idling would cause that much of a noticeable drop.

That makes sense, your car is burning fuel and you are not moving. Remember, its MPG.

With the MID, you can definitely see the effect of a cold engine. In summer time it might drop .1-.2 while first driving before it gets up to temp. In the winter I've seen it be double or triple that loss before getting there.
