Low Fluids...
Low Fluids...
Hello,
I currently have an 07 TSX with 18k miles on it. Anyway's, today I popped the hood to fill up the windshield washer fluid. Upon inspecting all of the other fluids, I noticed that the coolant is a little bit low (just below the Max line). Also, the power steering fluid is just below the Max line as well. Is this ok, or do I need to top these off right away? My MID says that my oil life is 40%, so I will be taking it to Acura fairly soon for an oil change, and I will be sure to have them top off my fluids. However, is this something that I can let wait till I go in for an oil change? If anyone could let me know, that would be great.
Also, is it normal for the TSX's engines to use some coolant? It seems like every time that I go into Acura for an oil change, they end up toping off my coolant..
Thanks,
Jeff

Was your engine cold or hot? If the coolant is just below the MAX line there is no reason to add to it. The coolant level will fluctuate in the plastic reservoir depending on the engine temperature.

The fluid levels fluctuate with temperature. I wouldn't worry about any level that is just below the "max" line when the engine is cold. The the engine warms the fluids tend to expand. Now, if you start seeing the level approach the "min" line, especially with a warm engine, then you should add fluid.
