Loud tire noise! please help!!!

So i just picked up my car from the dealership. I did the 60k service. They aligned and rotated my tires. Now when driving the tires are very loud. any ideas what could have caused it? Also the engine vibrates when in idle. How can i fix this? the tires have no more than 20k on them. Thanks in advance.

Have they pumped your tyres up? If you are also feeling a harsher ride then this is probably the reason. So how bad is your idle? It's normal for a 4 cylinder car to have some vibration at idle. Is the vibration more that before your 60,000k service? I had a noisier idle just a few days ago and realised it was the bonnet vibrating.

this is interesting as I've noticed the same thing. I had my 60K service done a couple weeks ago, which involved a tire rotation, and ever since the service, i've noticed more tire noise. the tires only have 15K miles on them. i'll have to check the air pressure. i'm curious if it could be anything else...

The dealer should have given you a readout of the before and after alignment numbers which you could use to compare with the factory specifications. It sounds like one or more wheels are badly out of alignment, or you have one or more badly cupped tires and one is now near the driver's side. Go back and get the rest of the story from the dealer.
