Look in Your Trunk!
I think it is the same issue for the weld circles. The paint at the edges of the circles is too thin and has cracked or never adhered properly.
This is a growing concern as I see more people reporting in this thread that they have the problem.
Any one without a Silver paint colour with the problem?
Is it limited to a geographic area? Canada and northern USA?
Maybe a poll should be started.

Man o man, add me to the list of rust problems, not only is my back lighting out for my middle consol buttons, but I also need a new window switch.
I still have to check my trunk, but the few little chips I have on my hood are now rusted, its clear that they are as orange as they can get. The funny thing is that I even put the touchup paint on it with the clear coat. I am pissed, I can see it from a mile away, and why, even with a chip, how can it rust under a year.
Acura better repaint my hood, and if my trunk has the same problems as you guys I am having them do that as well.
One thing I know for sure, the acura body shop by my dealership is highly professional, they take the same steps in the repainting procedures as the factory, I know because I had the grand tour, one complete side of my car was repainted 10 days into picking it up. I hate dump trucks in the summer, this one dropped rocks the size of tennis balls, sure did a number on my car.
anyway, I will let you guys know about my trunk.:'(

Canadians
I notice you fellows seem to report a great number of problems. Both rattles and chips.
Are there more rocks on Canadian roads than US? A Colorado friend said there ARE more rocks on mountainous roads due to sanding and said they are pointier, sharper rocks than the pea gravel we usually see in Texas.
Just a curiosity.

i looked too and there was no rust thankfully on the carbon grey.
do you think it is only on the silver TSXs?
yeah i put a paint shield and rustproofing on my TSX and i still see some very small rock chips, but used some touch up paint. there's nothing you can do about rock chips, happens on every car, if you have an M3 or a Kia, rock chips will be there.

Normally repainting is a bad thing. You can never get it as good as the baked on painting that gets done at the factory. But with the TSX it seems this may not be the case.

Im my experience the paint on Hondas has always been very bad.
Accidently scratched paint off with fingernail!
Wow, that's how thin and soft the paint is in the discussed area around the trunk: Didn't find any rust, but when checking it out I was trying to gently scratch some dirt off with my fingernail, and to my my surprise I scrached some black paint off exposing the gray layer underneath it. Just with my fingernail....
Went to the dealer today to get the oil changed and a state safety/emission inspection. While I was there, I showed them my rusting trunk. They agreed that a new car shouldn't be rusting like that and now they'll be painting it next Friday under warranty. They didn't even put up a fight - very good experience (except for the fact my car is rusting....)

Emissions testing is a requirement where I live. It has to be done once a year along with a state safety inspection. It's a pretty stupid process - it depends on what county you live in. If your county's population is a certain size, you have to pay for emissions testing. Just a way to get more money in my opinion.

Hey Guys,
I'm looking for some suggestions on what to do with the trunk-rust. I've only got a few small spots, not absolutely horrible, but looks disgusting on the PWP.
The dealership I goto suggested (because the guy that usually takes care of that stuff wasn't in) that I go buy Mothers rubbing compound and give'r a little buff out. I'm just not sure that this is the solution since, I'm sure it'd come right back the next time water gets stuck in that stupid weather-strip.
I've only had the TSX for about 2 weeks, and just noticed the rust as I was putting my hockey equip into my trunk. *boo urns*
