Leaking Problem?
Leaking Problem?
So everytime it rains or I wash my car, water seems to build up right inside the door... where the grey panelling says ACURA. It rained so hard last night that I actually had water on the inside of that on the plastic piece inside my car. It didnt hurt anything, but I had to use a towel to clean it up so it wouldnt get on the carpeting.
Has anyone ever noticed that? Is this normal with the TSX or do I have some seal problem?
My car is 3 months old.
Thanks.

I get water right up to the sill that you are talking about. You can check your seal with a dollar bill though. Put a dollar between the sill and the a-pillar and shut the door (leave the window open) if you can easily slide the dollar up and down then you could be a little tighter. For that just take it to acura and tell them to adjust your doors!

My two cents. Inspect your door seals, on the door and the frame.
I ArmorAll these things on all my cars twice a year, on my 1987 Jeep I still have the original seals, going strong and secure. Besides keeping them "pretty"[1] and secure, I suspect it keeps them sealing well, and even helps prevent noise intrusion from dry or faulty seals. YMMV.
[1] When you open the door for someone, the first thing they might subliminally notice is how black and shiny the door seals are. Never get a second chance at a first impression.

I used to use military grade dimethylsilicone. Such wonderful, near-permanent goopy stuff.
Really, on externals, I prefer to use ArmorAll "Detailer's Advantage," which claims to have a higher concentration of silicone. It's goopy enough.
I wasn't aware that ArmorAll dries out rubber. True? or hearsay?

Didn't know you were using a specialty armorall, I was more making reference to the standard yellow and black boxed armorall standard.
Probably is just hearsay, I have no personal experience, just choosing to error on the side of safety lol
