Just bought a TSX already have A/C problems...HELP!!!

So, I am a newbe- just bought an 06 tsx, fully loaded, with 28k miles. Its been babied, always serviced at the dealer. Just out of factory and used car warranty.

Problem: The A/C only blows cold at about 64 degrees and below. 64-72 and it feels like the heat is blowing. I know of the compressor/condensor problems with others, but the compressor engages. When A/C is on the radiator fan engages, almost simultaneously with the A/C compressor engaging.

Could it be low freon, or am I missing something else that it could be? I really dont want to have to replace the whole system.

What's the outside temp like when you engage the A/C?

defroster, which runs off a/c blows hot. when i tried the a/c it was 50 or below outside. Only recently did it get in the mid 60's and still was blowing hot. It blows ice cold if i turn the temp setting to the lowest temp.

Sounds like it needs to be looked at. Recommend having your A/C system inspected by a automotive A/C shop. I've had mine inspected thinking my A/C wasn't as cool as it could be, and the A/C shop told me it was working fine; and they didn't charge me anything to do that. I went ahead and had them replace my R-134 anyways.

Seems normal since the climate control is trying to regulate the temperature according to outside temperature. If it's mid 60s outside and you have the climate control set to ~64-72, it will try to heat up the cabin since outside temp is colder. It takes some time to get used to, but that's the way it is with these newer cars.
